Join us for the next rough cut screening for the feature documentary film, Time Passages.
Throughout the year, selected member projects will be screened and members can attend to give feedback! IFA has selected this film and will host an in-person work in progress screening on Thursday, September 15 from 6-9 p.m. at The IFA Hub Theater at Cinespace. Come enjoy this rough cut screening and give your insight and perspective, which is essential to continue crafting the film to its best version possible.
ABOUT THE FILM: Film director Kyle Henry, the gay youngest son of a large Texas family, investigates his “nice White people” ancestral archive, doggedly revealing within its images a shadowy toxic stew of racial, gender and economic privilege in the United States. Struggling to maintain connection with his elderly mother Elaine during the lockdown of 2020, Kyle explores his relationship to her thwarted desires via a trove of financial, cinematic, and photographic evidence which is marshaled on a journey to the end of existence.
This is an in-person event at The IFA Hub Theater at IFA Chicago:
